Job Description: This position is an Electrical engineering technical position in support of an oil refinery. This position provides technical support with a focus on troubleshooting, asset improvement, and technology selection. This position is located at the ExxonMobil Baton Rouge Complex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Job Responsibilities: Supports opportunities for step-out technology deployments Performs Risk Assessments and supports technical evaluations Applies (Global Design Principals) GP’s, (Design Practices) DP’s, (General Information & Instructions) GII’s and codes and standards in all technical work Recommends Annual Maintenance Plan (AMP) line items with business justifications Provides technical support and services to operating facilities Participates in incident investigations, RCFA’s and bad actor analysis in support of assets Supports screening, optimization and Design Basis Memorandum preparation for all systems Provides technical support for front-end development, cost estimation, design, construction, and startup for projects, change packages, and turnarounds Assists in the development of maintenance / operating procedures and technician training Interfaces with business teams to maintain and improve equipment reliability while reducing maintenance costs Provides Engineering Specialist Support & Surveillance (ES3) for projects <$5M (post-Gate 1) and leads contractor’s Electrical work to ensure consistency with project specifications and guidelines Updates Company practices and specifications Participates actively in the Discipline Sub-network Job Requirements: Petrochemical or other heavy industry experience strongly desired Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be highly proactive Qualification & Experience: Required B.S.
