Job Description: The Physiotherapist (PT) is an integral member of the Physiotherapy service, Allied Health and clinical programs in which care is provided. Through the provision of patient and non-patient care activities, the PT enhances the quality of life of patients by utilizing best practice and providing assessment and treatment for a mixed patient population in Complex Medical services. Principal responsibilities include: collaborating with interprofessional team in providing patient focused care; communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues; participating in Program planning/development, professional and hospital initiatives supporting quality management and research; supervising Physiotherapy students for clinical education; interacting with volunteers; complying with and committing to patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans, policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe environment for patients. Job Requirements: At minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy, Master's Degree preferred Member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario; Excellent verbal and written communication skills Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
