Job Responsibilities: Liaises with corporate and Operations staff, agencies, commercial printers including pre-press departments, reprographics specialists, sign fabricators, design studios, freelance artists and photographers in order to produce and coordinate a variety of projects. Develops and executes creative and art direction on various TransLink and Operating companies’ marketing programs , campaigns and various initiatives requiring graphic design produced both internally and externally, working with various client departments to art direct, create and develop concepts, ideas, images and text which support TransLink’s strategic goals and objectives. Provides assistance and direction to other Enterprise Marketing production staff, and oversees and reviews the production materials for production. Designs, illustrates and project manages a variety of informational and promotional materials for print and electronic mediums on a computer graphic system and/or by mechanical methods (mock ups). Develops, maintains and regulates graphic standards throughout corporate and Operating company’s print materials/electronic media, informational and wayfinding signage including bus decals and vehicle livery. Provides advice and recommendations to clients regarding methods, procedures, timing and cost options to produce various marketing programs, campaigns and various initiatives requiring graphic design. Ensures usage of corporate logos (including Operating companies), trademarks and copyrights are according to Enterprise marketing policies and procedures and that marketing deliverables meet corporate standards. Provides design, production, art direction and implementation services for corporate and Operating companies which include Fleet and Facility signage (i.e. informational, wayfinding, vehicle livery and interior/exterior decals). Job Requirements: A further period of up to twelve (12) months on the job is required to become familiar enterprise wide business operations, technical environments, corporate policies, procedures and service agreements. Also to gain insight and understanding of the corporate culture and its influence on the design and creativity aspects of the job. Requires diploma in Graphic Design plus business courses, and training in the operation of Macintosh computer systems. Requires three (3) years previous experience in marketing or advertising, working on the various aspects of the creative/design/production process from concept to completion.
