Job Description: Reporting to the Senior Director, Hedge Funds & Alternative Investments, the incumbent will contribute to manage the portfolio of co-investments across a wide variety of alternative asset classes (Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate & Infrastructure), source and monitor deal transactions, and provide consistent and top-quality analysis in order to assist in the strategic decisions pertaining to the portfolio. Job Responsibilities: Play a leading role in co-investment transactions including managing the underwriting, evaluation, due diligence, negotiations, legal and tax structuring, as well as investment processes Contribute to other TCC Funds including co-investments in hedge funds Source, analyze and recommend potential co-investment opportunities with GPs Develop financial models related to company/asset valuations, risk assessment, sensitivity analysis, industry/market analysis and acquisition transactions Create concise and comprehensive summary reports on a quarterly basis and prepare investment recommendation memorandums for potential co-investments to TCC investment committees Conduct market and industry research to strengthen sourcing network and to develop industry theses to generate investment ideas for co-investments Manage and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including TCC legal/operations/asset allocation teams, external managers, consultants, lawyers, and investment peers Monitor on a continuous basis the evolution of individual assets in the co-investment portfolio Contribute to strategic and long-term asset allocation within the portfolio and across TCC’s Funds Participate in the preparation of performance reports of co-investment transactions to clients Track and maintain proprietary database of approved/passed co-investments across asset classes and precedent transactions Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned or required and act as a resource person for team members as necessary Qualification & Experience: Ability to make informed decisions effectively, with sense of ownership and commitment Ability to build a network of contacts to support the portfolio activities Fast learner, team player, with the ability to work well independently Fully bilingual (French/English) Proven ability to retain a strong and well-established network Free to travel from time to time Strong analytical and financial modeling skills including the processing of large quantity of data, and at preparing reports summarizing pertinent information Demonstrated capacity to meet tight deadlines and adapt to highly variable workloads is important as co-investment transactions often move quickly when they arise Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and relationship management skills (efficient, high quality, well structured work) A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with demonstrated track record of leading transactions, managing a portfolio of co-investments and generating strong performance Experience in direct private equity or a similar field in an alternative institutional environment.
