Job Description:

We are looking for engineers to solve challenging problems, and help expand the service. As a Software Development Engineer in the team, you will be a key contributor to the growth of the service. You will have the opportunity to work on distributed computing problems, architect, and design S3 features for customers and enhance customer experience through operational excellence. You will be joining an experienced team of engineers that architects and builds solutions at AWS scale. Job Responsibilities:

• Our team is dedicated to supporting new team members. Our team has a broad mix of experience levels and Amazon tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our senior members truly enjoy mentoring others through one-on-one sessions helping them with their career growth.
• Our engineers collaborate with product mangers, other engineers and solution architects to understand customers’ requirements, deliver solution to customers’ problems and provide ongoing service support to the customers.
• Our team is intentional about attracting, developing, and retaining amazing talent from diverse backgrounds. Yes we do get to build a really cool service, but we also think a big reason for that is the inclusive and welcoming culture we try to cultivate every day.
• This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week in every six to eight weeks. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our products are exceeding customer expectations. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the issue and ensure that root cause is addressed systemically.

Job Requirements:

• Passion for building new products in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
• Solid system design and architecture experience.
• Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, peer code reviews, and a preference for agile methods.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, availability, and internet and OS security fundamentals.
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) is a plus.

Qualification & Experience:

• Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• 1+ years of experience in software development
