Job Description:

In this role, the Senior Program Manager, Amazon Logistics will help the SME group redefine how we create and assign work (delivery routes) to last mile delivery associates. Our goal is to better design routes that match the capabilities of drivers and to recommend assignments that enable drivers to become deeply familiar with the communities and neighborhoods where they deliver to. This is a strategic initiative that improves both driver experience and delivers 100s of millions of cost savings. This will involve rapidly innovating across science, UX, software architecture, and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Knowledge in program management
• Solve challenging problems at scale
• Knowledge on the software tools in a given process areas and their application in the Amazon Logistics network
• Experience to define the process the team uses to deliver best in class tech to the field
• Synthesize a narrative out of confusing, ambiguous and conflicting evidence
• Experience to automate human decision making by influencing Technology to build and update tools that reduce process complexity to deliver robust processes
• Knowledge to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines
• Intersection between operations and technology
• Lead in taking on end-to-end ownership and deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
• Operate at a high level of autonomy and integrity while managing a variety of job responsibilities
• Prioritize impactful solutions
• Improve the experience for our delivery associates

Job Requirements:

• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation Logistics, or related field
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• 5+ years of experience in program or project management

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience to refine identified opportunities and customer pain points into a set of prioritized solutions/requirements
• Knowledge in project management and organizational skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, support scope of requirements and prioritize
• Knowledge to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
• Experience to manage tasks with statistical, financial, strategic and operational analysis
• Experience to deliver within scope, time, budget and quality
• Knowledge in modeling involving large data sets to: support and improve business operations, implement best practices, and conduct cost benefit analysis
• Experience to work on complex initiatives with cross-functional teams
• Experience in business judgment, to influence others without positional authority, and analytical thinking skills
