Job Description:

As a Senior Sales leader in the AWS Public Sector team you will have the opportunity to lead a sales team which focuses on adoption and expansion of our full service portfolio with our customers. We work backwards from our customers, focusing on their use cases and defining how our broad set of technology solutions can help them. Planning for market adoption, setting vision and strategy for your team, and pivoting on emerging market trends are all things you will do on a daily basis. You will help to identify with your team where our products need to go next to better serve our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Develop and execute against a strategic plan that leads to the creation and maintenance of a robust sales pipeline including opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business in untapped customers
  • Manage a team of 6+ Account Managers
  • Work with partners to manage joint selling opportunities
  • Know when and how to engage strategic internal resources to deliver customer focused outcomes
  • Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement
  • Hire and develop Account Managers

Job Requirements:

  • Leadership experience in a customer-facing role in the Australian Federal Public Sector
  • Experience is selling to Australian Federal
  • Exceptional people-management skills; able to inspire and foster the right behaviors in others through leading by example (Player/Coach)
  • 10+ years technology sales experience with a focus on outside sales (quota-carrying)

Qualification & Experience:

  • Track record of building rapport with senior customer executives (e.g. CEO, CIO, CTO), building close relationships, and helping customers execute on large engagements.
  • Experience leading a direct or indirect account team with proven results
  • Working knowledge of software development practices and data center / infrastructure / networking technologies.
  • Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partner.
  • Proven track record of consistent territory growth and quota obtainment
