Job Responsibilities: Maintain the upkeep of process control computers, software licensing agreements, and backups of software files to minimize downtime of manufacturing equipment; Perform system upgrades to keep current with hardware and software that is still supported by the manufacturer or developer; Maintain and develop software systems utilized to control manufacturing processes. These software systems control the operation of our production machinery and are integral to production, quality, and safety; Design and implement new process control systems as driven by new product development for the facility as well as modifications to existing processes; Provide support and on call functions to assist in advanced troubleshooting as required to minimize downtime of production operations; Interact with vendors and consultants to pursue high quality equipment and services as it relates to process control systems; Timely access to this data essential for the plant’s quality management program and rapid problem solving; Solve quality and production issues associated with process control systems and develop software to diagnose quality and manufacturing issues; Provide process control systems support for plant operations. This support will include analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing network, server, security, and desktop network infrastructure on all levels of process computer environments, with a focus on Level 2 and 3 environments; Provide formatted data to the technical and process groups as requested; Qualification & Experience: Experience with web applications using HTML, JavaScript, CSS and PHP; Experience with basic networking systems, design and troubleshooting; Experience with programming language skills in C; Experience developing functional specifications, architectural designs, detailed designs and software systems (applications) using structured programming techniques; Experience in Best Practices of web development and maintenance; Experience with Unix or Linux and Windows; This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
