Job Description:

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, will be able to work towards our service level agreements and be an excellent communicator with our stakeholders. You’ll be able to manage your own workload and be adaptable at short notice. Whilst previous experience of print room operations would be advantageous, we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receipt of work from various Departments/Divisions, programming and production of work to be undertaken effectively, efficiently and in the most cost-effective manner available and undertake constant checks whilst the job is being run on the machines
  • To report to manufacturers service, centre all breakdowns and faults of machines with an accurate description of faults in a timely manner and to ensure that this is responded to by either a engineer to site or via remote modem diagnostics facility within the specified agreement time period
  • To notify end users when work is completed, ensuring it meets the prescribed standards by ensuring that originals are of acceptable standard, undertaking checks whilst in production, ensuring that the end user is satisfied with the completed work and all objectives/requirements have been met. A delivery service may also be offered if required
  • Providing technical knowledge and guidance to end users with regard to composition, production and finishing facilities available for the various print requests received. Ensuring that it is produced to best practice standards including cost effectiveness whilst maintaining presentation standards and avoiding costly re-runs due to errors and miscalculations
  • Prioritising and scheduling incoming work to allow satisfactory completion of time sensitive work, whilst ensuring effective use of equipment available
  • Maintain effective communications with engineers particularly with regard to 10 technical problem solving and machine efficiency, thereby increasing the knowledge of the jobholder
  • Responsible for use of the consumables within the reprographic machines £75,000 per annum
  • To deputise for the Corporate Office Coordinator (Services) in his / her absence and to undertake the ordering of consumables to accommodate all reprographic equipment requirements
  • To undertake daily diagnostic checks of central Reprographics Studio equipment as a preventative maintenance measure and thereby reducing the down time of the machines to a minimum

Job Requirements:

  • The ability to be sympathetic to customer’s requests whilst being objective and aware of the cost associated with the various production methods
  • Great attention to detail to ensure that the quality of work is constant and meets the highest possible standards of the machines made available
  • A high level of confidentiality. By the very nature of the work that passes through the central print facility the level of confidentiality must be maintained at all times. (Work would include succession planning, annual accounts, new ventures etc.)
  • Educated to at least GCSE level with a minimum of a grade C or equivalent
  • Pass in maths due to the amount of calculations that are undertaken in the Reprographics Studio environment
  • A mature approach with the ability not only to prioritise individual jobs but at the same time looking at the overall workloads and patterns in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to meet the demands of numerous different departments is essential without giving preferential treatment to any one individual
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to prioritise work and being able to meet the tight deadlines that are imposed by end users
