Job Responsibilities:

  • Ultimately, managing the successful transition of change into BAU (both across the business and within our technical landscape) ensuring the risk profile is understood and agreed by the business.
  • You will be responsible for the management of project costs and benefits ensuring risks and opportunities are reflected in project forecasts
  • You will manage the risk profile of the project utilising established risk, issue, assumption and dependency management techniques
  • You will need to produce high quality project status reporting that provides a balanced and realistic view of project status in line with the reporting requirements of the SBAFS Investment Board
  • You will manage supplier delivery plans engaged in the project delivery and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers
  • You will take ownership and accountability of delivering change projects, which could be a single large project or multiple smaller projects through the end-to-end project delivery lifecycle
  • You will lead high performing, cross-functional, multi skilled change delivery teams to successfully deliver customer value. We’d like you to ensure the SBAFS governance framework and project structure is fully embedded throughout the lifecycle of a project from Ideation through to Closure
  • You will define project plans, managing performance to the plan and taking remedial action when required
  • We want you to define and manage project resource requirements, working collaboratively with the portfolio lead and functional leads to agree efficient resourcing

Job Requirements:

  • Drive and self-motivation, ability to work at pace whilst bringing others on the journey
  • Engages and manages stakeholders effectively, resolving issues and understanding drivers/needs
  • Able to constructively challenge and hold others to account, whilst maintaining positive relationships
  • You will have experience working with third party suppliers in a primarily outsourced environment
  • Experience within financial services strongly advantageous
  • You will be able to engage and manage stakeholders, resolving issues and understanding drivers/needs
  • Significant experience in managing software development and infrastructure projects (traditional and agile) and building software and services that create value for customers
  • You will be an experienced Project Manager with proven experience leading the end-to-end delivery of change projects, combining both IT and business change components
  • You must be able to converse with, challenge, influence and negotiate with technical resources
  • You will have experience at managing technical teams from a delivery perspective
  • We want you to be an open and honest communicator, promoting integrity and willing to both voice and welcome views that challenge the majority view appropriately.
