Job Description:

This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. Due to the nature of the job, being flexible between 8am – 8pm Mondays to Fridays and 8am – 6pm on weekends is key. Don’t worry though, we’ll give you 8 weeks notice for upcoming shifts so you can better plan your personal time. You’ll also receive industry-leading training, including a 6-week induction programme and extensive ongoing support to help you be the best you can be.

Job Responsibilities:

  • You’ll need to be flexible during our opening hours of 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 6pm on weekends
  • You’ll receive 8 weeks notice for upcoming shifts
  • We operate a 4-week rotational pattern, which includes 1 late shift (8pm finish) per 4-week rotation
  • You’ll be working 3 out of 8 weekend days

Job Requirements:

  • Assisting our customers with their banking requirements, taking ownership of their individual needs and delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Playing an important part in customer education around Sainsburys Bank digital services and fraud awareness
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills which will enable you to engage in effective conversations and deliver a personalised, friendly and efficient service
  • Have a passion for problem solving whilst showing empathy to our customers.
    Be adaptable and show that you are able to embrace new ideas
  • Confident in navigating yourself around different systems while also being PC literate
  • Leading your own personal development and training through regular reviews of performance against business objectives
  • Call Centre experience is helpful, but not essential. Because you know what beats experience? Being kind. Showing dedication. Going above and beyond for our customers in our Banking products and Online help desk
  • Identifying customers who are in vulnerable situations and helping to figure out what steps we can take to support them
  • Being the first point of contact for customer complaints to make sure that they’re treated fairly and get the right resolution for them
