Barclays Internship 2023 Opportunities – QPS Pulsar BAPM

Job Description:

As a Barclays Business Analyst you will work as a for Equity Finance Data Service (PULSAR application) MIS reporting, P&L Analytics, Desk Analytics and client invoicing for QPS (Quantitative Prime Services) business. You will partner with business stakeholders to support & improve these critical business functions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with IT development team members in enhancing the application by adding new features and closing out any existing gaps.
• Be the functional SME (Subject Matter Expert) and provide necessary functional knowledge to development team as and when required and have enough details captured in user stories.
• Good understanding of Agile methodology and defining user stories that fit in one sprint cycle.
• Accountable for individual project deliverables. Work closely with development team members in providing business requirements, testing the functionality and getting UAT sign off from stake holders.
• You will build strong partnership with global stakeholders (includes traders, product management, product control, quants and other stakeholders across all regions) and understand the requirements from stakeholders and convert them to user stories.
• As a BA collaborate with users to clearly understand/analyze/document business requirements, test functionality, plan releases, manage post-release check-outs and communication.

Job Requirements:

• Prior Prime Brokerage experience will be a big plus
• Prior Quantitative Prime Services or Cash Equities experience will be a plus
• Proven functional architectural experience
• Prior experience working in agile methodology

Qualification & Experience:

• 5+ years of Capitals Markets IT experience and very good exposure to Equities asset class products
• 3+ years of experience in MS SQL Server/Sybase database writing SQL queries for analysis
• 6+ years of experience working as Business Analyst or RAD (Rapid Application Developer) or Desk Developer or Quant
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
