Job Description:

As a Product Owner you will need to forge strong relationships with the Openreach business units and BT Technology.

You will be work with your business and transformation colleagues to develop the future vision and understand how technology will enable it. Working with stakeholders and technical experts you will shape and elaborate detailed requirements, work to ensure the delivery of those requirements, and ensure that change is delivered in a controlled and consumable manner into the operational teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • CTIO input to operational transformation including leading workshops, proposing solutions and innovations
  • Driving requirements by timescales required to support delivery.
  • Own the CTIO roadmap for major plan and build transformation programmes
  • Having a broad understanding of across CTIO roadmaps and constantly looking at ways to exploit and influence common capability and adherence to IT strategy.
  • Work with squads, tribes, and product owners as the voice for the multiple p in definition of business problems, opportunities and benefits. Also, in the co-ordination of IT trials participation.
  • Challenging of learned behaviours across the organisation to ensure we streamline developments. We strive for agnostic processes irrespective of functional teams, direct labour and/or partner audiences.
  • Design, implement and manage the triage of concepts and improvement suggestions. Lead the IT aspects and work closely with partner transformation to ensure appropriate people and process implications are aligned.
  • Applying understanding of technology and the customers domain to innovate high value solutions.
  • Business reporting into the operational units.

Job Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of Software, Data or Digital technology development.
  • Ability to navigate the business and the operating models to seek, find and secure necessary inputs and owners.
  • Champion in delivering change and transformation.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management: able to build and maintain a range of senior stakeholder relationships and influence their support to change agendas.
  • Project Management experience
  • Previous success in delivering operational readiness projects, products, and policies.
  • IT design and integration skills
  • Strong business improvement, data analytics and problem-solving skills.
