Canada Post Jobs – Mail Service Courier

Job Description:

We deliver billions of items to Canadians each year – and you can be a big part of making this happen. As online shopping grows, we have a number of opportunities for qualified Class 3 / D and Class 5 / G drivers with an Air Brake Endorsement to be part of our team. As a temporary, on-call Mail Service Courier, you’ll join a list of drivers that are available to work locally on short notice, on an equal opportunity basis. You’ll use a postal vehicle to pick up and deliver mail items, and represent Canada Post in a professional manner with everyone you meet.

Job Requirements:

• A safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver’s abstract required)
• A valid Class 3 / D or Class 5 / G driver’s licence with an Air Brake Endorsement
• The physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb)
• Experience in driving a 5-ton truck or other large vehicles, or in commercial delivery
• The ability to read, write and speak English and/or French
• The availability to work on short notice
