Job Description:
Our mission is to collaborate with the business units to drive value through enabling new transformation capabilities. As the Business Transformation Partner, you will act as a strategic partner to a key area of our railway business – aligning technology, process optimization priorities with CP strategic goals. Working with senior leaders within CP’s Procurement, Operations Support, Legal Services, and Corporate Risk organizations, you will facilitate process understanding and improvement while driving digital transformation roadmaps and strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate CP’s leadership competencies.
- Roadmap development – work with senior business leaders and Enterprise/Solution Architects to identify, elaborate and plan future transformation programs and initiatives. Fit these plans into our corporate transformation roadmap;
- Realize process improvements through simplification, standardization, and automation of processes/solutions. Develop an integrated business architecture through process flow mapping, key measures, and process optimization opportunities;
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, earn trust, build credibility becoming a trusted partner for the Operations Support, Legal, and Corporate Risk organizations;
- Roadmap program/ project execution – Provide leadership throughout execution of projects protecting business requirements and assurance of value delivered;
- Use your procurement functional experience and technical expertise to decipher processes and solutions and figure out their innovation and transformation needs. Additional in scope areas are legal, corporate risk, safety, environment, technical training, materials management, corporate travel, and fleets;
- Serve as an expert and thought leader in CP’s SAP practice by continuing to build your expertise in SAP and SAP Ariba in support of Procurement, Materials Management, Contract Management, Safety and interactions of those modules with others used at CP;
Job Requirements:
- Highly effective communicator, confident, passionate, clear, respectfully assertive and inspiring;
- Highly analytical with experience in process mapping and business analysis;
- Independent self starter who can prioritize problems to solve to deliver highest value to the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field required;
- Displays emotional intelligence; demonstrates self-awareness and remains calm under pressure; expresses confidences in ability to succeed; keeps an optimistic attitude even when things are not going well;
- Proven experience in influence without control relationships;
- Experience using Design Thinking methodologies to generate innovation is an asset;
- Effective relationship builder;
- Applied understanding of data science and statistical methods;
- 5-10 years of experience in Business Transformation;
- High business IQ and ability to articulate the value of different strategies & programs;
- Experience developing strategic plans and roadmaps;
- Experience and ability to work with Senior Leadership levels in the organization;
- 10+ years understanding of SAP EHS, MM and Ariba processes;
- Ability to plan and facilitate workshops to meet desired objectives related to process improvements and requirements understanding;
