Job Description:
The Merchandise Allocator is responsible for the optimization of sales, inventory, and return on investment for the corporate Sport Chek & Atmosphere stores. Merchandise Allocators are responsible for the development of fulfillment and associated deployment plans which include forecasting product to satisfy the consumer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of upstream Assortment plans by leveraging analytics to make recommendations
- Develop fulfillment and deployment to support ongoing business plans to define low level inventory strategies for replenishment
- Collaborate with business partners to identify replenishment styles, prioritize key categories, and define forecasted seasonal inventory requirements
- Optimize supply chain execution by selecting and utilizing delivery channels and processes that are best suited to achieve sales, in-stock, and efficiency objectives
- Source inventory from suppliers to execute fulfillment plans by collaboratively developing inventory strategies; deploy inventory from shipments and warehouses
- Demonstrate leadership and expertise in the development, execution and improvement of fulfillment plans by providing guidance to others

Qualification & Experience:
- Demonstrated proficiency in fulfillment and inventory practices with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts. Knowledge of o9 or other software related to fulfillment is an asset
- 2-3 years of purchasing or forecasting experience or equivalent
- Operation and manipulation of standard office productivity software, statistical packages, inventory management systems and ad hoc query tools
- University degree in Business, Economics, or equivalent experience
