Job Responsibilities:

  • Use standard and customized contracts, support drafting activities, and liaise with internal and external legal counsel to finalize contracts. Negotiate business terms and conditions
  • Work with internal clients in the execution of RFx strategies, and to ensure contract terms, Service Level Agreements and escalations are understood during the implementation stage
  • Manage stakeholder communication, requisitions, Q&A documentation/distribution, evaluation, reference calls and vendor briefings.
  • Create, analyze, group, and interpret spend-related data. Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required
  • Provide analytics for bid comparison
  • Work with Finance to complete financial due diligence, perform lease/buy analysis and ensure appropriate financial treatments and contractual enterprise commitments are approved and reported
  • Use procurement related tools (e.g. Ariba or Coupa) to fulfill responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Supply Chain functions in particular to deliver solutions that meet business priorities
  • Contribute to and demonstrate the value of NMP services for each purchase and project, working with the objective of increasing the use of NMP services
  • Monitor vendor performance during the contract term and ensure that all information is captured and updated in vendor and contract records
  • Liaise with suppliers before, during and after sourcing events
  • Use industry research services to identify trends, techniques and alternative sources of supply
  • Responsible for running RFx’s including analyzing the current category landscape, developing the sourcing strategy, executing sourcing events, negotiating contract pricing, terms and conditions, and completing all NMP related project/procurement documentation

Job Requirements:

  • Strong project management skills with ability to organize, control and coordinate a variety of activities in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to develop credibility and maintain relationships with all levels of management, business partners and vendors
  • Proven ability to act in an ethical and transparent manner in compliance with corporate code of conduct
  • Knowledge of sourcing leading practices including reverse auctions, on-line bidding, supplier performance scorecard, benefits tracking
  • Experience in sourcing learning, recruiting, transportation, warehousing, packaging supplies and fixtures would be an asset
  • Proven team player
  • Proficiency in leading procurement technologies (e.g. Ariba or Coupa) is an asset
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills along with exceptional skills in facilitating meetings, interviewing, and influencing others
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract drafting, competitive price analysis, and supplier performance management
  • Strong financial, conceptual and analytical skills
