Job Description:

The Senior Financial Analyst – IT FP&A is a key contributor to the FP&A team that provides exceptional planning, analytical, and reporting support to the leadership team. The role plays an important part in business partnering and building relationships with the CIO organization, the broader Finance function and other stakeholders to understand results and provide quality, actionable insights. This role offers opportunity to work with senior leaders and contribute to transformation strategy in IT. Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the business to design and prepare new analysis to respond to Senior Management and business needs
  • Assist in the production of the annual capital and operating expense budget for IT
  • Support continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies within the team to improve efficiency and quality
  • Work with cross-functional groups to drive improvements and changes to current processes/systems
  • Lead a variety of ad hoc projects as assigned by the Manager
  • Develop business cases to support strategic investments and drive positive business outcomes
  • Work with IT groups across all business units to develop monthly/quarterly reporting supported by meaningful analysis on key variances
  • Develop expert knowledge and be the subject matter expert of IT financial results

Job Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of financial statements
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (power pivots, macro programming, etc.)
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Experience presenting at the senior leadership level is an asset
  • University degree or College diploma in Finance/Accounting or business related discipline
  • Process automation experience is an asset
  • 5 to 7 years working in a FP&A role
  • Experience supporting IT/CIO organizations is an asset
  • Accounting designation (CPA – CA, CGA,CMA) or working towards obtaining or MBA
  • Experience with Hyperion Suite (HFM, SmartView, etc.)
