Job Description:
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will help define, deliver and maintain solutions to meet business objectives while serving as a primary facilitator between business, IT and various vendors. Partnering with your IT, Business and Vendor teams, you will lead the planning, elicitation, analysis, validation and management of requirements, business processes, and high-level solution design s. Vendor management activities will also be part of your regular activities, to ensure vendor systems are up to date and meeting business needs. This position is part of an IT team supporting both call centre activities and analytics activities within the banking environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Liaison with various vendors to manage activities include change requests, problem resolution, team coordination, requirements gathering, SOW and contract agreements, accounting and invoice tracking
- Create, refine and maintain user stories and associated deliverables to meet development and stakeholder needs
- Develop, communicate, and implement plans for defining requirements complete with timelines, approaches and deliverables
- Build stakeholder trust by understanding their business concepts, issues, opportunities and language
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with diverse stakeholders
- Form a partnership with business and IT teams to understand their business with a goal to capture clear, concise and accurate requirements
- Gather, document and groom requirements for call centre applications
- Work closely with client /product owners and Project Managers to define project scope
- Facilitate problem-solving discussions and general communications between the business and IT and within IT itself
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by facilitating information sharing and team cooperation
- Provide support for project management, development and QA teams
Job Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent
- SQL experience is beneficial
- Experience in Agile Delivery
- Experience leading and organizing meetings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio)
- Experience creating Agile user stories
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication (both written and verbal) and conflict-management skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst
- Ability to multi-task and work on simultaneous projects under tight deadlines
- Background in credit card industry an asset
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion and simplify complex situations
- Strong understanding in technology and project/software development methodologies/techniques
- Experience with technical writing is an asset
- IIBA Certification is an asset
- Experience educating and training others and/or helping clients and customers
- Knowledge and interest in industry best practices regarding requirements definition and management
- Experience or Certification in Pega is an asset
- Understanding of and experience within Financial environment
- Hands on experience with Jira and Confluence is an asset
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, interviewing and workshop skills
