Rooted in the pharmacist-patient relationship, our Outcomes business brings together the relationships and capabilities of several existing Cardinal Health businesses including OutcomesMTM, mscripts, and TelePharm and helps pharmacies, payers and pharmaceutical companies address challenges like medication adherence and close other critical gaps in healthcare. The Outcomes digital ecosystem currently supports a network of 23 million patients and 60,000+ pharmacy sites nationwide to streamline pharmacy workflows, enhance patient engagement and deliver clear insights. OutcomesMTM contracts with more than 50 U.S. health plans–including Medicare plan sponsors, commercial plans, employers, Medicaid and other state programs–to provide MTM coverage to more than 5 million patients. The company links contracted plans with more than 100,000 local chain, independent and health-system pharmacy providers. The Director of Marketing at Outcomes is responsible for all aspects of marketing strategy and execution in support of the business. This comprehensive marketing role includes both upstream and downstream marketing activities to drive the success of the combined business. As the Director of Marketing, he/she will act as a player/coach demonstrating an entrepreneurial approach that promotes customer focus, best in class marketing and market-driven analysis. The successful candidate must possess expertise in marketing healthcare technology and software solutions; pharmacy, payer and pharma solutions experiences are preferred. This position reports to the VP of Product & Marketing. Position Accountabilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads a team of dedicated and passionate marketing professionals
- Provides strategic oversight and leadership direction for marketing and communications functions
- Design/develop/deploy integrated marketing and communications plans in support of the commercial strategy
- Assembles and executes a strategic plan and roadmap for the marketing function
- Understands healthcare trends, competitive positioning, to establish or enhance clinical and business services
- Provides market intelligence and quantifies opportunities along with Business Development
- Strategically partners with sales, product development, and operations teams to create customer value
- Ensure plans are in place to meet or exceed goals while providing motivation and inspiration to team members
- Assess customer needs, market conditions and competition to inform business strategy
- Incorporates Voice of Customer (VOC), analytics into decisions and recommendations
- Creates and monitors marketing effectiveness, via ROI, score cards or other metric tools
Job Requirements:
- Prior supervisory experience, preferred.
- Strong leadership and team building skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a matrix environment
- Experience with successful new product launches
- Experience bringing technology products from idea to commercialization
- Strategic marketing roadmap and implementation experience
- Strong market research and customer research background
- This role can sit at Dublin, OH Headquarters or virtually from home
