Job Description:

In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with a wide range of partners; both internal Co-op teams and external third parties. You’ll be prioritising service and change that will make a real difference to the way we do business, and make sure that change is landed smoothly. We’ll look to you to provide key support to the different tech teams, making sure that the SAP technology that we rely on is fit for purpose. You’ll be delivering SAP design, solutions, and implementation, as well as providing day to day technical service. Job Responsibilities:

  • drive the wider team with considerable change demand and juggle multiple projects and priorities
  • build SAP solutions based on approved technical and functional designs
  • coach and develop other team members to strengthen overall knowledge
  • be a role model and drive the team to improve performance and meet business objectives
  • lead SAP design decisions and create functional/technical design documentation
  • contribute to the engineer community of practice
  • support the SAP technology standards and patterns, as well as the design governance (TDA)
  • act as a design authority in your area of expertise, across technology
  • build and maintain positive relationships with senior leaders and directors
  • support blueprints, roadmaps and strategies, working closely with our team of architects
  • lead small teams of external contractors on pieces of work

Job Requirements:

  • a proven background working in IT, where you have coached and developed others
  • strong SAP experience, including knowledge of retail focused modules such as MDG, FNR, or CAR, and/or strong functional experience across one of master data, supply chain, pricing, trading
  • knowledge of, or experience working with, JDA would be preferable but not essential
  • experience working with middleware platforms such as B2BI would also be preferable but isn’t essential
  • the ability to build strong relationships with technology suppliers and partners
  • the ability to work cross-functionally with a range of teams and partners
  • great communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information and present it in an engaging way
  • experience working in a retail environment within large, multi-disciplinary teams
  • the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • experience working on large scale projects and programmes and delivering to a plan
