As an ER investigator at the Co-op, we’ll look for you to work alongside the wider ER services team, provide insight and data and support a variety of ER case investigations at a senior level. You’ll need to have a commercial mind-set and the ability to work at pace, as this is a fast-moving and varied role. Job Responsibilities:

  • conduct a wide range of employee relations investigations in a fast-paced and diverse environment (remotely in the main)
  • proactively surface and share insight and learning from ER investigations in the southern region to aid continuous improvement
  • manage the end to end investigation process with thorough and careful listening, questioning and note-taking
  • challenge and influence managers and manage their expectations around milestones and timescales
  • prepare a comprehensive case file including recommendations based on the facts, any mitigating circumstances and policy/legal implications following best practice and using your own judgement

Job Requirements:

  • a good working knowledge of ER processes and employment legislation, including complex investigations (this could be within an operational or HR role)
  • experience of spotting trends and providing valuable insights to the business
  • the ability to build strong relationships with key partners
  • resilience and the ability to juggle multiple cases at the same time
  • strong written and organisational skills
