Job Description: This role will see you working to develop and define the operating model and commercial proposition, by adding infrastructure to secure greater opportunities across our coffee solutions range. Indirect accountability for supporting the new business efforts across corporate partnerships existing partners via the account management team. The role includes a number of business development, strategic planning and team leadership elements Job Responsibilities: Working with the Store Design Manager and team you’ll run the development of all new propositions. You need to be able to work with highly cross-functional teams across finance, marketing, food/beverage development, construction, design and operations to develop winning solutions and launch trials, as well as collaborate with property and strategy teams to unlock rollout opportunity. Lead commercial development of franchise and wholesale contracts and development of new agreements for onboarding new business Partners Commerciality; lead commercial development of franchise and wholesale contracts and onboarding new Partners. This includes commercialising, defending and mitigating contract attrition through effective relationship management of contractual terms Sales – accountable for the sales of Coffee and Merchandise across all PTS offerings New Business; responsible for leading the efforts to gain new business across Partnerships, taking a one Costa approach. Targeted with winning an agreed annual target of new business contracts across all channels offering a complete coffee solution to new partners Leadership; leading the New Business channel to deliver annual net sales revenue and operating income targets through developing new profitable partnerships. Coaching, mentoring and developing of all new business team members Strategic planning; a key contributor to Costa Coffee strategic thinking around growth channels and growth propositions and where the opportunities are to deliver incremental value and growth across the business either via growth, collaboration or acquisition Job Requirements: To succeed at Costa, it is important that you embrace our values and enjoy working with diverse and committed colleagues. In addition, we would hope to see some of the below: Ideally long term strategy consulting background combined with several years of industry experience in the retail space Proven capability of delivering very high complexity programmes and cross functional working –able to frame strategic questions, develop logical approaches to finding solutions and lead large high pressure projects Highly commercial – can lead P&L modelling work to set target economic model for store propositions and understand and optimise drivers of store performance and hit KPIs.
