Job Description: The Supervisor Track Evaluation will be responsible for the safe operation of a Geometry Inspection Vehicle. These vehicles operate across the entire Canadian Pacific network to ensure that all Transport Canada, FRA and company annual testing requirements are met. Job Responsibilities: Monitor trends in repeat track geometry defects, follows up with reports; Provide input to proposed new technologies pertaining to track geometry, gauge restraint measurement systems, VTI systems, vision technologies, etc; Provide Project and Budget technical support to the Manager. Monitors all charges and expenses related to the TEC operation; Perform periodic quality inspection reviews of the TEC output measures to ensure the quality and reliability of the data; Responsible for daily contact with the Local Roadmaster and/or Director Track & Structures regarding the TEC schedule and ways to uphold the TEC on schedule; Monitor and control testing through the year to ensure quality information is generated to guide the track maintenance efforts and assist in setting priorities for the Track Maintenance Planning group; Arrange for the production and distribution of Geometry reports; Required to be on call on a regular basis outside of normal business hours and workdays. Mentor the development of subordinates / co-workers to take on greater levels of responsibilities, appraises the work performance of subordinate positions and prepares recommendation of appropriate actions; Job Requirements: Building & maintaining relationships, team player, cross-functionally and strong field contacts are an asset; Experience in Data analysis and the ability to draw conclusions and communicate results, Prior exposure to Geometry Brush Charts (WinDBC, ARIES, GEOEdit) Intermediate level of MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.); Good communicator across various functions; Must have Canadian passport with ability to travel cross border to U.S; Bi-lingual (French/English) is an asset. Proven ability to deal with conflict and progress solutions; High school diploma or GED Equivalent; Understanding of network operations; Prior Track Maintenance experience such as Supervisor Track Inspection, Extra Gang Foreman, or post-secondary education in electronics (technologist); Working knowledge of some or all of the following systems is considered an asset: Railway Performance Monitoring (RPM), Nexus, various dashboards on CP Station, Corporate reports; Exceptional communication skills for multiple audiences with diverse levels of experience; 5 years of railway experience in Engineering Services; Ability to persuade for the overall betterment of the railway in situations where individual objectives may conflict; Must have valid Class 3 with air brake endorsement, or ability to become licensed within 6 months;driver’s license; Job Details: Company: CP Railway Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Calgary, AB, CA Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careers-trivia.net
