Job Description:

The IS team provides cloud capabilities for workloads at CP. The cloud center of excellence (CCoE) team is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting cloud solutions that are used directly by end-users, other IS groups, and provide integrations to on premise systems. The cloud operations team, within the CCoE, is responsible for supporting operations including DevOps, DevSecOps, and serverless development.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage escalations for the cloud operations team for 24/7 on-call support.
• Identify key areas for automation in developing, deploying, and sustaining cloud operations.
• Capacity planning for the cloud operations team, managing people resources across sustainment and capital projects.
• Manage the software development lifecycle of projects assigned to the cloud operations team.
• Collaborates closely with operational teams, including Infrastructure and Operations, DBAs, Service Operations Center, application developers, BI developers, and SAP developers.
• Understands the importance of a secure cloud and maintains the confidentiality of CP data.
• Maintains an awareness of cloud technology trends, especially in the area of cloud operations.
• Recommends and influences the team on cloud development practices.
• Collaborates closely with project teams, including other Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Project Managers, Application Developers, and BI Developers.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment;
• Good communication abilities with technical and non-technical audiences;
• Communicate exceptionally well with management, peers, and customers;
• Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative working style
• Must be team oriented and at the same able to work with limited supervision;
• Minimum 5 years of cloud development experience
• Excellent time management skills;
  Minimum 2 years as a functional manager or equivalent experience
• Experience with AWS and Azure IaaS and PaaS and related development, deployment, and sustainment practices
• Good analytical, investigative and problem solving mindset;
• Able to lead and grasp problems to support incident resolution and brainstorming for technical requirements
• Desire for continuous improvement and a commitment to best practices.
• Have high attention to detail and commitment to quality;
• Ability to provide 24/7 support while on-call
• Adaptable and flexible to a fast-paced work environment and shifting priorities and responsibilities
