Job Description:

We are looking for a forward-thinking, detail-oriented individual who is motivated to learn, implement and protect our brand. Our internal creative team fields design requests from all areas of our global company, and our designers respond with creative designs built on brand strategy, consistency and quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adapt to changing project parameters and diverse project assignments
  • Manage vendor relationships, set quality standards and leverage their experience to explore possibilities
  • Source imagery for projects (photography, illustrations, icons, etc.)
  • Collaborate with other designers and employees to ensure projects accurately represent the Cummins brand
  • Design materials for print (including brochures, posters, flyers, pop-up banners, large format items and long documents)
  • Concept, create and manage installation of environmental graphics at various office and manufacturing facilities
  • Participate in client and team meetings as required
  • Recognize that small elements affect the bigger picture and make design decisions accordingly
  • Consult with clients on their needs, coach them on creative process, brand and options, and concept and design timely, brand-compliant solutions
  • Create digital products and assets (including interactive documents, editable pdf forms, web banners, social media graphics, email campaigns and presentations)

Qualification & Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a graphics-related environment, as demonstrated by a strong design portfolio
  • Ability to work within multiple applications to track designer and project information, access assets and brand standards, and submit final files for print and archiving purposes
  • Ability to set up clean design files according to spec, using master pages, styles, grids, libraries and interactive functions, etc. where applicable
  • Animation experience a plus (After Effects, Ceros or otherwise)
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, fine arts, or related field
  • Advanced experience with Office 365 and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom required)
  • B2B and B2C experience
  • Agency or internal creative team experience preferred
  • Exceptional understanding of design principles (typography, imagery, color, layout, etc.)
  • An understanding of HTML/CSS would be nice
