Job Description:

The Anti- Financial Crime (AFC) team is accountable for protecting Deutsche Bank from financial and reputational losses incurred by financial crimes by assessing, controlling and mitigating risks. The AFC risk analysis team is responsible for reviewing escalated risk events from partnering AFC teams to determine recommendations to AFC and business management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with FCO management information & reporting team to deliver timely, relevant, and reliable management information on any clients/underlying customers of Deutsche Bank’s correspondent clients in relation to risk analysis reporting
  • Work with industry colleagues and regulators to benchmark and communicate best practices and develop regulatory responses to proposed regulations as required
  • Assist in the coordination all reviews of clients and underlying customers of Deutsche Bank
  • Prepare the analysis that will be utilized in the presentations and reports on behalf of the Head and Deputy Head of FCO Americas on a periodic and ad hoc basis
  • Identify the risks and prepare risk recommendations that will be presented at the various Governance forums by conducting client risk analysis based on financial crime risk consistent with Deutsche Bank’s risk appetite in coordination with financial crime operations, sanctions & embargoes, anti-fraud, bribery & corruption, business & client intelligence unit, and business line advisory
  • Assist the team with AFC governance during the planning, fieldwork, and conclusion stages for any review conducted in relation to the America’s client forum or risk identification forum

Job Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of AML laws (USA PATRIOT Act), regulations (Fed, SEC, FINRA) and their application to the supported products/business lines
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Experience in an anti-money laundering (AML) leadership capacity
  • Ability to identify, escalate and communicate issues to management in an effective and succinct manner
  • Ability to interact with Infrastructure and other appropriate groups in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in correspondent banking, global markets and asset management businesses is preferred. Experienced with Mantas, Norkom and Actimize is preferred
