Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and partner support in the development, implementation, and execution of high-level programs, processes and policies which directly contribute to the continual improvement of Safety Case regime
- Support the discussions with various external partners in support of projects or ongoing operations to demonstrate the safety of our system
- As a senior engineer, mentor junior team members, provide expert reviews, and cultivate a culture that demands high quality work.
- Support and maintain the processes and records associated with Safety Case assessments and related recommendations and reports
- Perform technical reviews of Safety Cases, engineering assessments and operational change assessments for pipeline, facility, and underground gas storage assets.
- Independent (internally or externally) reviews of safety case assessment and recommendations
- Maintain a planned network of relationships with key domain specialists, partners, and external consultants.
Job Requirements:
- Proven ability to initiate and manage change, be innovative, problem solve, and think strategically.
- Experience of working on a pipeline / facility in some capacity and to be familiar with the safety and quality standards that are expected.
- Strong interpersonal skills and be more than capable of working within a team or autonomously.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive and diverse pipeline, facility, and underground gas storage industry experience.
- Strong attention to details, sense of urgency, anticipation, prudence.
- Demonstrated ability to make judgment, without being inappropriately influenced.
- Strong understanding in the field of reliability, integrity, statistics, and mathematical modelling.
- Excellent communication skills with well-developed written and verbal group presentation capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized university or college along with registration as a professional engineer (P.Eng).
- Leadership skills including strategy, mentoring, communication, project management, consultant management.
- Experience working within a Safety Case regime.
