Enbridge Gas Jobs – Engineer

Job Description:

While in this role you will have a focus on learning, developing and tackling assignments of growing complexity to gain knowledge/experience of the enterprise and specific engineering tasks, methods, practices and subject areas. This excellent opportunity will focus on providing basic engineering support throughout the planning, design, procurement, construction and start-up stages of the project lifecycle within assigned engineering units.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conducting basic analysis under the direction of others, e.g., assessments, design, crossings, pipeline diameter, providing specific input into project proposals, costing support, etc.
• Attending specified internal and external training in order to work towards P.Eng designation
• Providing project field support during construction and commissioning activities.
• Attending external meetings to gain an appreciation of partner requirements, etc.
• Attending multi-functional meetings to present analyses and learn about related technical and business activities
• Participating in the tender, analysis and award of engineering and construction contracts
• Assisting with investigations, reports, spreadsheets and presentations, e.g., project design alternatives, timelines, etc.
• Providing support and engineering input to Business Development engineering during project development
• Participating in reviewing of material requisitions in support of procurement activities related to assigned area

Job Requirements:

• Occasional travel to field worksite locations, may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Short overnight business trips may be required as part of training.
• Up to 2 years of related experience
• Communicate efficiently both written and verbal
• Office environment.
• Able to show your aptitude for learning and developing in a variety of emerging career assignments
• Possess Enbridge’s Core competencies and support Enbridge’s values
• An Engineering degree in an applicable subject area
