Job Responsibilities:
Smile you’ve found us! At NextEra Energy, our people are our greatest asset . Our Information Technology Team is looking to bring on a Principal Agile Release Train Engineer/ Coach. This role will be responsible for:
- Leverage NextEra Agile Transformation (NEAT) charter and framework; contribute to optimizing the NEAT framework
- Collaborate with the User Experience (UX) team on UX innovation cycle
- Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the DevOps, Built-In Quality practices, and Release on Demand competency
- Coach Agile Leaders, teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindset
- Responsible for keeping release/project information consolidated, organized and up to date
- Manages risk and dependencies, communicates and escalates impediments, to facilitate transparency
- Drive improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and help them improve in program execution and operational excellence
- Publish team metrics (Velocity, PI Say/Do ratio, Releases, etc.) via Jira Dashboards for visibility and transparency
- Lead PI Planning readiness via Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings and facilitate the PI planning event
- Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary
- Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
- Acts as a change agent, and shows strong leadership skills with a positive and collaborative attitude
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train (ART) and Solution Train
Qualification & Experience:
- Advanced experience with Jira
- Analytical background
- Able to produce Executive style presentations
- Expert in Microsoft suite applications
- Experience with Software application development via Agile
- Financial and business acumen
- Strong communication and written skills
