Job Responsibilities:

As Senior Analyst, Data Governance, you will be tasked with supporting the development, execution, and maintenance of the policies and processes that enable Hilton’s enterprise data democratization. Initial areas of focus will be user access control, data privacy & security, data quality, metadata management, curation, and stewardship. Working with the other members of the Data Governance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Assist Data Stewards with cataloging activities
• Support initiatives focused on implementing enterprise data management capabilities
• Assist with drafting policy, process flows, and coordinate training
• Analyze and monitor data protection controls, and find opportunities to improve data privacy & quality
• Contribute to developing and communicating corporate and regulatory standards for data access, usage, and management
• Communicate with organizational units focused on risk management, legal compliance, and privacy to ensure standards and practices are consistent

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience managing metadata in a repository or supporting a data management program
• Solid grasp of relational data structures, data modeling, and data definition
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to break down complex problems into requisite parts and design efficient, scalable solutions
• Experience in drafting and handling data policies, business data processes, data standards, and business glossaries
• Highly proficient in SQL and Excel
• Five (5) years of work experience in Technology or a related field
• Three (3) years of work experience in data-related practices
• Two (2) years in a Data Governance role such as Data Analyst, Data Steward or Data Manager
• Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus six (6+) years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus twelve (12+) years of Technology related experience
• Seven (7+) years of work experience in Technology or related field
• Two (2+) years of hands-on experience with multiple data technologies and processes such as data management, data architecture, data integration, data quality, and metadata management strongly preferred
