Job Description:
This role can be located out of any of our major hubs, including but not limited to: Atlanta, DC, Boston, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Austin, San Francisco, Los Angeles. To meet the growing demand for Amazon Web Services globally, the AWS Public Sector tech team is seeking a dynamic, organized, and experienced Program Manager with a background in managing security programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- You will lead collaboration with business and technical teams to deliver world-class solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible while maintaining a strong customer focus.
- You will work with stakeholders and multiple business teams to identify, define, and specify solutions meeting customers’ needs.
- You will work with multiple technical teams globally to deliver those solutions.
- You will be the face and voice for the project teams and ensure all stakeholders are aware of successes, risks and project status.
- You will tailor your communications to specific audiences and communicate clearly and concisely to both business and technical audiences.
- Coordinate team activities: team events, moves, office structure
- Manage risk by bridging interdepartmental gaps
- Monitor training requirements and report deficiencies
- Partner with leaders to develop business rhythms such as recurrent meetings.
- Lead operations management of tech team security engagement.
- Plan and coordinate events including facilitation and action item management.
- Build and manage project schedules/plans to support project delivery.
- Continuously monitor key metrics.
Job Requirements:
- Be willing to act with a sense of urgency, balanced with diplomacy
- Experience reviewing technical communications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience dealing effectively with internal and external customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Ability to interpret and execute ambiguous program objectives and the compilation
- Ability to analyze, consolidate, and aggregate data from various sources
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field from an accredited university
- PMP Certified
Qualification & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience partnering effectively with global, geographically disperse or ad-hoc teams
- 5+ years of experience in technical, financial, business, project management or resource management
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of technical/security program management experience
- 5+ years of experience writing documents and narratives; experience presenting in executive level meetings
