Job Description:

Our PRESTO, Payment Processing Office is seeing a Senior Business Analyst to represent business requirements to internal and external stakeholders and stay involved during deployment to identify efficient and cost-effective changes to optimize functionality of systems solution by tracking performance and mitigating implementation risks on significant projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the Product Owner from product development to launch that includes design/testing, client/business enablement, go-to-market activities, and on-going performance
• In partnership with business leaders, develops strategies for the application of technology; leads or participates in the development of business cases
• Work closely with the Product Owner to champion the product vision, develop roadmap, and manage product backlog
• Develops a thorough understanding of the business goals, practices and processes to translate into system functionality requirements and user stories that define project scope and specifications
• Facilitates dialogue and discussion between the business and internal and external providers to assist with prioritizing between competing objectives
• Proactively identifies opportunities for new technology/automation or streamlining of business processes and workflows
• Assists the business to prepare business cases, understand scope limitations, and manage expectations during project implementation

Job Requirements:

• Experience leading teams to successfully deploy technology solutions in transport, payment, banking, or Telecommunications industry is an asset
• Minimum six (6) years’ experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the transit, payment technology, and/or banking industry
• Experience with computerized quantitative and analytical tools (e.g. data modeling, workflows, and business process analysis) and with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
• Passionate about digital space, technology innovation, and customer centric design thinking
• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Process Improvement, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
• Interpersonal, oral/written/presentation communications skills to document and present business needs, specifications, reports, project documents, and implementation plans
