Job Description: An exciting opportunity to join the M&S Clothing and Home Ethical Trading team. A role integral to the Sourcing strategy, through delivery of the global ethical trade and human rights auditing and project programmes; incorporating compliance, beyond audit innovations, training programmes and collaborative projects to enable suppliers to meet the M&S Global Sourcing Principles, help continually improve the labour standards and compliance across the whole supply chain and create sustainable lasting impact and positive change for workers. Job Responsibilities: To support the Head of Responsible Sourcing and Ethical Trade to deliver the Ethical Trading strategy and Plan A commitments by. managing the supplier auditing programme with the regional compliance managers. monitoring audit findings and producing monthly compliance factory rating reports for Sourcing Directors. implementing ethical projects and programmes that resolve supply chain issues found in audits. managing external delivery partners of projects and programmes. facilitate due diligence audits. liaising with the Central Sourcing team regarding the ethical element of the new factory approval process. provide relevant data and information for the Human Rights risk assessment, Modern Slavery statement and external benchmarks and reports. Work directly with the regional compliance teams to ensure they implement the Ethical Trading Strategy consistently and deliver initiatives, projects, programmes, and the Plan A commitments in their regions and communicate high risk ethical issues in the supply base, as identified by the regional compliance managers, to the Head of Responsible Sourcing. Manage the supply chain projects and programmes in conjunction with the regional compliance teams and external delivery partners. Ensure projects and programmes are tracked, monitored, measured, and reported on regularly. Work with suppliers to help them drive improvement and hold supplier meetings with relevant compliance personnel to help improve supplier understanding of M&S requirements in Ethical Trade and Human Rights, factory compliance, Plan A, and beyond monitoring. Develop agendas and presentations to communicate key messages to the supply base. Build relationships with external organisations and academics to help deliver ethical projects and create new options through stakeholder engagement for capacity building projects. Job Requirements: Ability to manage and motivate regional compliance teams to support implementation of strategy and drive success Ability to ensure ethical standards are upheld while achieving the commercial needs of the business Knowledge of and experience in the interpretation of country and international labour laws for auditing assessment Knowledge of and experience in the implementation of corrective actions for the resolution of non-compliances Ideally experience of working with NGOs, Trade Unions, and multi-stakeholder initiatives Ability to liaise and communicate across all regional offices and BU’s on ethical supply chain issues Proven track record of managing and delivering innovative projects & programmes to resolve supply chain and worker ethical issues working with suppliers and external organisations Building trust with customers and external stakeholders to maintain leading ethical retailer position Qualification & Experience: Buying teams Industry experts, Universities & external bodies (SEDEX, ETI, BSR) Sourcing Offices and Regional Compliance Managers Plan A team TSG & Raw Materials specialist Food Ethical Trading Team Suppliers Job Details: Company: Marks and Spencers Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: London, GB Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careers-trivia.net
