Job Description:

Clean Corporate office spaces and restrooms. Clean glass in public and employee areas. Clean floor surfaces in public or employee spaces using designated and appropriate chemicals, supplies, and equipment. Dust surfaces in assigned area. Empty trash containers, in public areas into proper containers. Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages. Clean and maintain lights. Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary. Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs. Respond promptly to requests from visitors/associates and other departments. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public or employee areas.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Move at a speed that is required to respond to work situations (e.g., run, walk, jog).
  • Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps.
  • Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Complete appropriate safety training and certifications to perform work tasks.
  • Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
  • Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor. ▪ Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
  • Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
  • Move up and down a ladder.
  • Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)
  • Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
  • Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises
  • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
  • Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

Job Requirements:

  • Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or workspaces.
  • High school diploma/G.E.D. equivalent
  • Select appropriate cleaning chemicals and necessary personal protective equipment for various surfaces and cleaning jobs, following OSHA regulations and corporate standards.
  • Respond promptly to requests from associates/department.
  • Related work experience
  • No supervisory experience is required
  • Post caution signs (e.g., wet floor signs) to limit traffic when necessary.
  • Contact Engineering or notify management for urgent repairs.
