Job Description:

The Manager Program Evaluation is part of Global Operations (GO), which is known for taking ideas into implementation across all brands, disciplines, and continents. The Program Evaluation team combines strong analytic skills with sound business judgment, experience with customer feedback, and operational knowledge to evaluate Brand and Operations initiatives in the Proof of Concept (POC), Pilot, and sustainment phases.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works with sophisticated data structures to collect information from a variety of sources, manipulate and cleanse data, and perform analysis and reconciliations as necessary
  • Uses advanced analytics tools (Tableau and Alteryx) and Microsoft Office products (Excel and PowerPoint) to run and manage weekly and monthly status reports
  • Contributes to the development and execution of reporting to track usage and success metrics for new Mobile/digital products
  • Performs more complex quantitative analysis using Mobile/Digital data
  • Delivers on-time, accurate reporting based on project requirements
  • Conducts QA review of reporting, requiring attention to detail and understanding of metrics and trends
  • Uses judgment to ensure data integrity and to escalate issues as necessary
  • Develops advanced Excel, Access, PowerPoint skills, Smartview, guestVoice and survey tool skills, as necessary
  • Manages and Executes reporting to inform project leaders, team members, and senior executives of status and results for projects
  • Manages data collection, tracking, and calculations of identified metrics needed for reporting
  • Performs business analysis to provide understanding, direction, and guidance

Job Requirements:

  • Advanced degree a plus
  • Proven track record of success in data and reporting related projects
  • Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal), presentation and writing skills
  • Experience performing hospitality industry business/financial analysis
  • Experience working in matrix organizations and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and balance priorities
  • 4-years Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Finance, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field; 4+ years’ experience working in finance, hotel operations, or an analytic role.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel concepts (including Vlookups and pivot tables) and PowerPoint skills; Tableau, Power BI, Adobe Analytics and/or Alteryx experience preferred but not required
  • Strong analytical skills required with the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to stay organized and meet deadlines; ability to effectively manage multiple projects and balance priorities
  • Knowledge and experience with hotel P&Ls, guestVoice, and Global Quality
  • Knowledge of Marriott International’s business, strategies, and culture
