Job Description:

Our PRESTO, Payment Processing Office is seeing a Senior Business Analyst to represent business requirements to internal and external stakeholders and stay involved during deployment to identify efficient and cost-effective changes to optimize functionality of systems solution by tracking performance and mitigating implementation risks on significant projects. This role will play an important part of PRESTO Mobile Wallet rollout.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support product owners for go to market activities and ongoing performance reporting
• Develops a thorough understanding of the business goals, practices and processes to translate into system functionality requirements and user stories that define project scope and specifications
• Support Transit Agency needs into business requirements and go to market readiness
• In partnership with business leaders, develops strategies for the application of technology; leads or participates in the development of business cases
• Assists the business to prepare business cases, understand scope limitations, and manage expectations during project implementation
• Proactively identifies opportunities for new technology/automation or streamlining of business processes and workflows
• Facilitates dialogue and discussion between the business and internal and external providers to assist with prioritizing between competing objectives
• Translates high-level, conceptual business strategies and objectives into user-requirements to guide service development activities

Job Requirements:

• Interpersonal, oral/written/presentation communications skills to document and present business needs, specifications, reports, project documents, and implementation plans
• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Process Improvement, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
• Experience leading teams to successfully deploy technology solutions in transport, payment, banking, or Telecommunications industry is an asset
• Passionate about digital space, technology innovation, and customer centric design thinking
• Minimum six (6) years’ experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the transit, payment technology, digital wallet, and/or banking industry
• Experience with computerized quantitative and analytical tools (e.g. data modeling, workflows, and business process analysis) and with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
