Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with an international team of researchers to characterize hybrid materials that will form the basis of topological qubits.
  • Develop measurement protocols and techniques to produce consistent measurements/analyses across materials, locations, and time.
  • Work iteratively with fabrication and materials growth teams to screen and improve sample quality.
  • Carry out low-noise DC and RF measurements from millikelvin to room temperature.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to operate and maintain a dilution refrigerator.
  • Good communication and data management skills.

Qualification & Experience:

  • 2+years’ experience with one or more of the following: low-noise electronic measurement, cryogenic techniques (He3, dilution refrigerator), electrical transport characterization (for semiconductors, dielectrics, and superconductors).
  • 3+ years’ experience in semiconductor device physics and superconductivity.
  • Previous experience in mesoscopic device fabrication.
  • 2+years’ experience with data acquisition and programming in a high-level language (python, mat lab).
  • PhD in experimental condensed matter physics, or related field, focusing on low-dimensional semiconductors, superconductivity, or qubit/quantum sensing measurement.
