Jobs at National Trust – Inclusion Lead

Website National Trust

Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to promote deep and wide change within a major national charity. At the National Trust, we have strategic ambition to be inclusive and welcoming to all, alongside first-class leadership and a robust plan for our next phase of action. Now what we need is a dynamic and creative Inclusion Lead, reporting to the Head of Inclusion and Belonging and working within a small team to bring our commitment to life, with and through our 50,000 volunteers and 9,000 employees.

Job Responsibilities:

To meet the challenge, you will need to be a subject matter expert, able to operate at a strategic and tactical level. You will excel in a fast paced environment and be able to translate policy and plans into tangible action at all our places and amongst all our staff and volunteers. You will be a fluent communicator, with the motivation to embed inclusion into fabric of organisational culture and with the necessary skills to influence staff at all levels. You will have theoretical knowledge and experience of practical application of workforce diversity and inclusion preferably gained in a large or devolved organisational environment; and experience of working with staff networks, designing and leading employee facing programmes from concept to launch.

Job Requirements:

A degree is definitely not required! Specific Inclusion and Diversity expertise will be essential, alongside motivation, conviction and creative ideas.

We know that we can’t serve our diverse audiences without firstly celebrating the diversity of our people. That’s why we work hard to create an inclusive culture where everyone feels a sense of belonging. We welcome and value difference, so however you look, wherever you come from and whatever your favourite radio station, we want to hear from you.
