Job Description:

Lead a sub-project of the wider Network Optimisation and Health team initiatives and potentially a team of matrix resources to deliver the transformational elements (people and process) of the initiatives across Fibre Network Delivery (FND) to complement our Network Health agenda and business objectives. The role will need to ensure that change is governed through build and deployment stages to ensure project and key sign off criteria success to meet FND goals. The project professional will need to help realise the business benefits including cost efficiencies, service improvements or performance improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Defining risk as part of the industrialisation process but allowing the regions/ FND functions manage the defined risk.
  • Responsible for the translation of known quality initiatives into a defined process; across network change, financial practice, customer engagement requirements via PEW and the regional teams.
  • Understanding of future, inflight programmes and governance across FND LT to identify synergies, risks and opportunities.
  • Assuring delivery across a matrix team, including Regional and Central Ops functions. Working with Finance to align benefits. This could include regular engagement and influencing at director level via the Network Partner function within wider Network Optimisation and Health team.
  • Managing the matrix team and capable of engaging at Principal level to sign off delivery roadmap.
  • Developing a deployment plans, considering wider FND teams, to ensure successful capture of the initiative.
  • Collating the sign off against key success criteria (e.g. KPI, SLA, etc.) and gaining Project Manager sign off to delivered projects/initiatives.
  • Leading an initiative or sub-project(s) within the wider Network Optimisation and Health team to deliver transformation programmes of around £100k benefit across Fibre Network Delivery (FND) per annum.
  • Accountable for the successful formulation and delivery of the initiative, with the goal being ‘industrialise process, then expand usage of process – capture benefits of the expanded usage.
  • Taking personal responsibility for key stakeholders at all levels on behalf of the projects; working closely with the operational sponsors to manage the relationships; co-ordinating the activities of the matrixed teams to mobilise the programme.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate complex problems / solutions in an articulate manner, using data to support your argument and influence stakeholders
  • Process definition skills and operational experience would be preferable skills.
  • Have an understanding of change governance process.
  • Demonstrate analytical capability and financial acumen
  • Capable of dealing with ambiguity and translating this into business requirements
  • Stakeholder management; able to build and maintain a range of senior stakeholder relationships and influence stakeholders to support change agenda.
  • Understanding of existing regulatory framework, including regulatory finance and implications for P&L
  • Experience of delivering change programmes in a fast-paced environment including process and people impact.
