Job Description:

Pembina Calgary office is recruiting for a Supervisor, Revenue Accounting, to join the Controllers group. This position reports to the Manager, Revenue Accounting in the Conventional Business Unit, (CBU), part of Pembina’s Pipelines Division.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Champion process improvement and maintain internal control documentation; and
  • Assist with analysis and reporting for IFRS accounting standards;
  • Work collaboratively with other groups in preparation of the future performance obligation schedule;
  • Maintain internal control processes and documentation;
  • Prepare monthly revenue entries in accordance to IFRS 15 including Make-up Rights provision, deferred revenue, contract liabilities and revenue disaggregation;
  • Liaise with key members of the Business Unit including Contracts, Logistics, Business Development and Commercial Services to ensure the accuracy of invoices;
  • Special projects as required;
  • Provide leadership and visible commitment and engagement with employees including timely goal setting, clear guidance, and performance management for the revenue accounting team to continually enhance the employment experience of all Pembina employees and be an Employer of Choice;
  • Communicate and collaborate with customers to address queries and collection matters;
  • Maintain comprehensive excel spreadsheets for contracted parties to determine annual settlements;
  • Prepare revenue and volume variance analysis including narrative write ups for monthly Scorecard;
  • Assist monthly revenue invoicing in accordance with contractual terms;

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with SAP, PowerBi, and software implementation would be considered an asset; and
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) with 10+ years of progressive accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Proven experience with and understanding of IFRS 15, would be an asset;
  • Strong knowledge of all MS Office tools, particularly Excel;
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes – including develop, document, and implement processes and procedures;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and dead-line driven environment;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface positively and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Experience in oil and gas, and specifically midstream/pipeline industry would be considered an asset.
  • Motivated self-starter who performs well independently and within a team environment; ability to adapt effectively to changing priorities;
  • Organized, detailed, analytical and able to consistently deliver accurate and timely information;
  • Experience working on projects and ability to manage multiple competing demand under tight deadlines;
