Job Description:
Pembina Pipelines Marketing Business Unit is searching for a Logistics Analyst to join their team. This role is mainly responsible for assisting with the day-to-day railcar and truck scheduling of Natural Gas Liquids products to ensure the efficient movement across North America.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor customer performance against contracted volumes and facilitate required conversations focusing on customer service;
- Actively work to manage all variable fleet costs, passing along all applicable charges to customers/facilities with the effort to minimize variable non-recoverable fleet costs;
- Schedule and coordinate with downstream facilities to ensure nomination and verification process is adhered to; and
- Complete accurate month end balancing ensuring railcar and truck movements are accurately input into internal operations and accounting systems in a timely manner to ensure efficient close processes;
- Provide ad hoc reporting as required to Commercial Marketing, Fleet Management and Logistics groups;
- Review daily exception reports to ensure data is captured accurately in various transportation system;
- Coordinate between accounting and logistics to resolve invoicing queries;
- Assist with day-to-day railcar scheduling for Natural Gas Liquids products for sales executed by Marketing Team at various facilities across North America;
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with internal operating and business groups along with external customers and ensure customer queries are responded to appropriately in a timely fashion.
- Report and manage additional charges passed to customers per contract terms (detention);
- Support logistics team to anticipate bottlenecks in the supply chain and coordinate changes in schedule as needed;
- Update daily tank car supply/demand forecasts;
Job Requirements:
- You possess both strong and precise analytical skills with the ability to problem solve;
- Up to 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry specifically working in NGL’s would be considered an asset but not required;
- The preferred candidate will possess a secondary education; Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree, in a relevant field (marketing, supply chain, or business);
- You are self-motivated, committed, and have a strong desire to learn and apply knowledge to create value, and can multi-task with time sensitive deadlines;
- You are experienced and comfortable working will all MS products including intermediate to advanced MS excel skills;
- Adaptable to adjust to changing priorities and ability to be decisive in making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
