Job Description:
The Expert IT Product Owner provides a clear vision of the product that will be built. From the vision the Expert IT Product Owner forms well defined user stories, prioritizes user stories and backlog and provides a clear-time line of the product. Maintains the technical integrity and quality of the features/components the team is responsible for. The Expert IT Product Owner focuses on the end-user experience, needs and features that drive a roadmap to deliver their vision. Builds and maintains relationships that allow the Product Owner to act as the customer proxy. Uses influence to overcome hierarchal challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partners with products organization to deliver feedback on existing products and introduce potential products for future programs
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve delivery
- Develops implementation plans and establish teams to introduce new technology and develop metrics
- Provides product feedback and customer insight to support product development
- Provides leadership to Application teams to improve execution of projects
- Develop team skills and coach team members
- Work with team members to ensure delivery of each project release
- Evaluates new products and equipment and keeps abreast of new products and/or equipment available in the market
- Leads moderate to complex projects with a medium to high corporate or functional priority
- Develops new complex products
- Identifies the appropriate customer audience, their preferred communication channels, and potential customer response benchmarks
- Evaluates products and technology
- Provide on-call support
- Analyzes work plan and schedules to reallocate resources or reprioritize program work
- Develops new tools, resources, communications or to improve processes
- Acts as primary liaison between various departments, stakeholders, Application teams for both Level 3 Operational Incidents and Projects
Job Requirements:
- 5 years job-related experience
- Has foundational experience with VMs, Database, OS, Storage, and Data Protection
- 7 years of IT experience
- Desires to get task done and motivated to find a better way to get task done
- 3 years of Leadership experience
- High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
- Takes feedback well from others
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Has the drive to learn continuously
- 3+ years of working in Agile environment, preferably as Technical Lead, Product Owner or Product Manager of an Agile development team
- Has strong interpersonal skills. Works well with teammates.
- 1 year of Scrum Master experience
