Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct training to other departments based on test results
• Ensure constant improvement in overall product quality
• Communicate results to all stakeholders including internal customers and vendors and assist with resolution of identified deficiencies.
• Analyze test results from the test execution and of Purolator’s shipping system certification program. Scope includes testing shipping labels, printed manifests, manifest files, shipment cost calculations, service and product validation rules.
• Perform audits to validate consistency from test to production environments
• Review current processes and recommend improvements to reduce test effort and maximize compliance levels
• Assist vendors and customers in resolving technical issues
• Design, write and execute testing (manual and automation) as well as improve test infrastructure
• Perform User Acceptance and Regression Testing on the shipping application to identify potential fault points that may yield problematic labels, manifest files, etc.
• Test shipping software for compliance with Purolator’s technical requirements. Ensure shipping software enable 100% revenue capture, minimize operational costs and maximize service levels.
• Assist production support team with issues resolution
• Track and report progress on testing.

Job Requirements:

• University or College diploma in computers, software design or any computer application development specialty
• French is a strong asset
• Experience with WAMP, SOAP, XML and API based solutions preferred
• Demonstrated skill in data analysis with exposure to a variety of data file formats
• Experience with Manual Testing and Automated Testing (QTP preferred)
• Knowledge of SAP, EDI and related solutions would be nice to have
• Basic knowledge of programming logic and scripting would be a strong asset
• Strong time management, decision making and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Good knowledge of SDLC and QA Processes, Software Test Experience with all levels and types of testing (Unit, functional , smoke, regression, system, security, etc.)
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
• Must be proficient with MS Office Suite including MS Access
• Experience with Test Director Quality Center preferred
• Testing certifications like ISTQB adds weight to profile
• Thorough knowledge of software development concepts
• Ability to grasp complex concepts related to integration of multiple systems and how they satisfy business processes
• Experience in developing software test plans and test cases
