Job Description:
The Learning & Development Consultant supports and facilitates learning and development activities at the corporate office. The role supports the design and execution of learning solutions to achieve business results. Success in this role requires high comfort interacting with Senior People Managers, Executives, other key internal stakeholders as well as external vendors.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the planning and deployment of all Learning and Development requirements at corporate office
- Develop and deliver new and existing company training requirements
- Collaborate with People Managers and Executives to build capabilities within their respective lines of business
- Drive a learning culture and promote available training opportunities to support clients’ learning needs
- Identify opportunities in external training needs and provide recommendation on enhancing learning solutions
- Manage the application of Purolator’s Training and Development Policy within the Corporate office
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess training needs and recommend/deliver learning solutions across the organization
- Oversee administrative tasks associated with all company training, ensuring all employee training records are updated in the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Provide Leadership Development training
- Effectively manage the centralized training budget while meeting the training requirements of all employees
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Post-secondary degree with preference given to Organizational Development, Learning & Development
- Experience in providing Leadership Development training
- Ability to communicate in French as an additional language (Asset)
- Experience in a variety of learning mediums including classroom, on-line technologies, webinars
- 5+ years demonstrated ability applying adult learning practices in needs assessments, design, delivery, and evaluative methods.
- Experience facilitating through WebEx preferred
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in an environment with multiple deadlines/changing priorities
- Strong relationship management to effectively consult, negotiate, and influence solutions with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Experience in delivering end to end training solutions
- Customer centric by being responsive and collaborative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skilled at presenting to and influencing key stakeholders including leadership across the organization
- The ability to participate in local travel within the GTA (10-25%)
- Project Management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages
- Skilled presenter and facilitator able to train-the-trainer and coach key stakeholders
- Solutions oriented with a proven track record for delivering results
- Adult education diploma, certificate, or degree with in-depth knowledge of adult learning principles, training methodologies and best practices
