Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning ground and/or air network routing and schedules based on forecasted and historical data for quarterly and peak planning
• Analyze network lane segments and recommend cost saving initiatives for network reroutes while maintaining service
• Actively involved in budget planning and forecasting on all network costing, routes, and capacity issue
• Provide management with costing on network re-routes and charters based on current costing model
• Forecast, review and schedule maintenance for static and dynamic networks such as the Transportation Management system, AirOps DataBase, and any other related systems accuracy and compliance monitoring
• Report on variation to plan and carrier performance
• Provide proactive problem solving, re-routes, alternate hub sorts
• Provide accurate volume analysis and reporting on utilization, on time departure and arrival of LH, lane segments, and capacity in order to accommodate potential customer volumes on national and regional networks; and for budget planning
• Coordinate special requirements for Holidays and special shipping programs
• Support Network engineering and capacity planning teams on optimization projects
• Work with Ground and Air Operations Teams for network change planning and execution
• Liaise with internal (Operations) and external customers, and vendors on all holidays, network changes, schedule changes and available capacity
• Indirectly lead PM and AM shift coordinators via planning, pre-shift briefing and post shift de-briefing, provide guidance on trip options and recommend actions to improve service, experience or cost
• Plan and design routing and schedules for Purolator Ground and/or Air networks, including holidays, peak plans, and quarterly operations, for all Purolator’s line of business
• Communicate planning activities with operations, internal and external customers, vendors, and Purolator management
• Create monthly reports for management on network utilization, capacity, and volumes

Job Requirements:

• Poses a strong understanding of network distribution principles, practices and systems
• Advance Microsoft Office: Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Continuous Improvement approach
• Operational process management experience
• Knowledge using Business Intelligence Dashboards
• Minimum four (4) years of experience in supply chain, logistics and/or transportation planning that includes direct exposure to, or demonstrated working knowledge of: LH transportation planning and scheduling, transportation management systems, forecasting, third party carrier management, LH performance, and load planning.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks while achieving timelines and commitments
