Job Description:

The Solution Developer will provide data visualization guidance on existing and new/prototype applications for Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR and other key business partners. The Developer will be responsible for executing on all phases of the technology life cycle, based on proven project management and testing methodologies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Brainstorm broad concepts and ideas of various reporting designs, both individually and with the team, and translate those into a consumable, tangible solution
• Introduce and adhere to version control.
• Gather requirements using interviews, documents, workshops, business process descriptions, use business case scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
• Estimate timeframes and provide options and solutions to deliver projects on time and to budget.
• Create validate functional specifications with the business at the level necessary to extend or customize existing proof of concept product
• Follow intake process
• Develop project documentation, testing materials, training materials, requirements gathering including downstream and upstream interface requirements and adhering to a project management methodology is a must for all reports undertaken.
• Create a schedule and complete continuous maintenance and random testing of report refreshes to proactively identify any failures in report population or refreshing
• Proactively identifying opportunities for your client base (Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Analytics ) to use self-serve vs scheduled delivery updates through on demand functions reducing manual preparation of reporting across the Enterprise and assisting in the development of leaner processes.
• Design mockups with product specs that can be prototyped and refined in collaboration with the Business and Analytics team.U

Job Requirements:

• Logistics or Operational experience is preferred and strong knowledge of transportation industry considered a plus.
• Intermediate level skill in integrating data using reporting and visualization tools
• Experience utilizing Six –Sigma methodologies would be an asset
• Good knowledge of installing and configuring/administering PowerBI Prod, Qliksense, Tableau , QlikView Desktop, QlikView Intermediate level skill in using SQL
• Strong knowledge of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process is required
• Demonstrated proficiency with large-scale relational database and BI reporting tools including PowerBI Pro, Qliksense, Qlikview, Tableau, Cognos, and Nprint
• Demonstrated knowledge in building effective data models that are scalable
• Experience in Star Schema/Snowflake modeling, FACT & Dimensions tables server, IIS Server and QlikView Publisher
• Capable of multitasking & prioritizing in a fast paced and agile work environment
• Please note this is a 12 month salaried contract opportunity
• Intermediate experience with ETL development using PySpark
• Strong organizational skills, excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in a AWS and / or Azure Cloud Development
• Bachelor’s and or degree in Computer Science or equivalent plus 5 + years related work experience in a related field
• Attention to detail and a passion to produce a quality and scalable product
• Good working knowledge of AWS suite of tools including Glue, Redshift, Lamba and Athena
