R&D Catalyst Engineer/Scientist Job openings

Job Description:

This role is located at McCook, IL. This Scientist/Engineer will be responsible for a broad range of projects related to catalyst development and scale-up.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to UOP?s catalyst manufacturing plants
• Communicate results to cross-functional teams
• Stay current with patent and open literature as it relates to development projects
• Be an active contributor to the department?s safety efforts and objectives
• Lead programs in the new product development (NPD) process to scale-up new catalysts from research prototype to commercial scale including bench, semi-works and manufacturing trials
• Interface with multiple UOP departments including Business, Development, Pilot Plants, Analytical, and Advanced Characterization to ensure robust catalyst development programs

• Minimum 2 years of industry experience (petroleum and catalysts)
• Experience with aspects of technology development and converting needs into a solution
