Job Description: As a Senior Clinician you'll be responsible for the day to day running of the clinical side of the hospital. You'll play a key role in the coaching and mentoring of staff members acting as the line manager for a proportion of the Veterinary team. Job Responsibilities: Monitoring and auditing controlled drugs Assisting in case animal work with our Inspectors, including attending court as a witness Participation in clinical governance and quality improvement tasks such as significant event audits Oversight of daily, night and weekend rotas Participating in public relations, media activities and fundraising at the hospital Line management duties Develop training programmes and deliver training to other members of staff including student teaching Providing clinical guidance to Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses and Hospital Manager Acting as the clinical and surgical lead and enhancing patient care Coordinating welfare case animal treatment alongside branches, Inspectors and private vet clinics Providing advice to centre staff, RSPCA Inspectors, Animal Rescue Officers and members of the public on a range of topics including welfare cases, shelter medicine and medical and surgical case management Job Requirements: Ability to take leadership responsibility as and when required Experience in basic orthopaedics is desirable Logical approach to clinical decision making Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Broad range of surgical skills, both routine and emergency Ability to remain calm under pressure Capable of advising team members in clinical situations (eg. diaphragmatic hernia, splenectomy, urinary obstructions, multiple RTA injuries etc.) Job Details: Company: RSPCA Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Bristol, GB Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careers-trivia.net
