Job Description: Our adoption centre is situated inside Pets at Home at the Friern Bridge Retail Park, North London. We rehabilitate and rehome cats and kittens and support the Harmsworth Animal Hospital and local RSPCA branches. Our staff can provide talks to schools and other organisations as well as advice on domestic pet related topics and information on other animal welfare related matters. Job Responsibilities: Transportation of animals Promotion of the adoption centre via social media channels Carrying out basic health checks on animals Attending to the needs of individual animals, including feeding, exercise, coat care/grooming and administering treatments as directed Cleaning and disinfecting animal accommodation, food preparation areas and other facilities Liaising with fosterers regarding animal health, care and movement Carrying out admin as required, adoption paperwork, microchip registration emails, phone calls etc. Assisting with the recruitment and training of new volunteers and fosterers Liaising with RSPCA and Pets at Home colleagues to plan and run fundraising and community engagement events in store Liaising with local RSPCA branches and establishments regarding the transport and intake of animals and their care and health Providing professional and courteous customer service ensuring all queries are appropriately resolved Job Requirements: Confident driving in and around London and used to driving a van A full and valid UK driving licence Previous professional experience of animal care work, in particular cats and dogs Computer literacy, and basic admin skills Confident and experienced in assessing behaviour of animals in rescue A qualification in Animal Care (desirable) Excellent customer service skills Flexibility to work variable shifts A familiarity with animal health and welfare issues Job Details: Company: RSPCA Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Dundee, GB Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careers-trivia.net
